Support Notes and email excerpts
The main FAQs site is hosted on netlab.gmu.edu. (Notes in this section may quickly become out-of-date with updates to the software.)
- There is an issue with reading slides made with MS PowerPoint for Macintosh with MS PowerPoint on Windows: sometimes the
embedded plots do not render properly, some mathematical symbols render differently, as in a different font. Recommend saving the slides also as JPG
files for replacing 'bad' slides. (This is an incompatibility with the two versions of PowerPoint and is independent of NEW.)
- Line (vector) graphics and drawing objects render much more clearly than bitmap graphics, which tend to be somewhat blurry when displayed.
- The thinnest line graphics tend to disappear in spots as the whiteboard is resized and the image squeezed. Recommend using slightly thicker
lines.
