How do I get an account on Hermes? 
You are eligible for an account on hermes only if you are enrolled in a course that requires you to do your course work on 'hermes'.
How do I connect to 'hermes' from home?
You can connect to hermes remotely using secure tunneling (tool, example) and Secure Shell
(ssh). See the FAQ on how to connect to other computers for more details.
If you do not already have Secure Shell installed, a copy can be obtained from the downloads page on the ITUSupport website.
