Hardware 
The IT&E labs house a combination of different hardware infrastructure to support various operating platforms. Please check this link for a detailed inventory of devices available for your computing needs.
Software
You can connect to hermes.gmu.edu remotely using Secure Shell (ssh). See the connect to other computers FAQ. If you do not already have Secure Shell installed, a copy can be obtained from the downloads page on the ITUSupport website.
IT&E Instructional Computing Laboratories provide a framework for computing-related educational activities within the School of Information Technology and Engineering. The labs serve students of all the Departments in IT&E.
